soundcore Space One: Immersive Audio at an Awesome Price

Soundcore, Anker’s audio brand, has become well-respected for delivering quality sound at surprisingly affordable prices. The soundcore Space One wireless headphones continue this trend, offering a capable package of noise cancellation, sound quality, and comfort for under £100.

Design and Comfort

The soundcore Space One has a sleek, modern design that feels a lot lighter than other Soundcore headphones I’ve used. My review unit came in a gorgeous Sky Blue finish with Jet Black and Latte Cream variants also available.

Although the soundcore Space One is made mostly out of plastic, it feels sturdy and well-built. The earcups are generously padded with a type of memory foam, and the headband provides a comfortable fit even during extended listening sessions.

Sound Quality

The Space One delivers a balanced and enjoyable sound profile and is perfect for listening to music, podcasts, or watching TV. The bass is powerful and can be enhanced using the BassUp! feature. If you prefer a different sound signature, the Soundcore app offers a wealth of customisation options, including a graphic EQ and HearID, which tailors the sound unique to your ears.

Adaptive Noise Cancellation

My main over-the-ear headphones are the Apple AirPods Max, which have the best noise-cancelling I have experienced. However, they still cost over £400. The next best I’ve tried are the soundcore Space One headphones.

The hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) is a standout feature of the Space One. ANC automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation for an optimal experience. It effectively reduces a wide range of ambient noise, and in my testing, they have been brilliant at blocking out most of the noises of a busy house, ranging from hoovers, washing machines and children arguing!

More Favourite Features

Battery Life: The Space One boasts an impressive battery life, offering up to 40 hours of playback with ANC on and 55 hours with ANC off.

Wearing Detection: Enabled in the soundcore app, wearing detection uses a sensor inside the left earpad to automatically play/pause what you’re listening to.

Adjustable Transparency: A quick tap lets you hear your surroundings without removing the headphones.

Call Quality: Thanks to the three microphones and some AI wizardry, your voice is always clear when making a call.

App Control: The Soundcore app unlocks customisation potential, providing EQ settings, ANC modes, and other useful features.

soundcore Space One – The wrap-up

The soundcore Space One over-ear headphones punch well above their price point. They provide effective noise cancellation, enjoyable sound quality, a comfortable fit, and a long-lasting battery.

While they might not have the brand recognition of some pricier options, they offer excellent value for those who want great wireless headphones without breaking the bank. At just £89.99, you really cannot go wrong.

Overall, if you’re in the market for affordable wireless noise-cancelling headphones, the soundcore Space One should be near the top of your list.
