Nintendo POP-UP Store London

Nintendo is a force that knows no bounds, and we at Rapid Reviews were lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive preview of their latest Pop-Up Store in London. So stick around as we dive into what visitors can expect from this colourful celebration of all things Nintendo.

Located inside the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush, directly opposite the LEGO Store, the Pop-Up Store feels exactly like a permanent Nintendo location should. Large windows wrapped in bold Nintendo branding and massive character decals give a glimpse of the magic inside. From the moment we arrived, the team’s energy was infectious – every team member we spoke to was friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about the brand. Mario and Luigi even made an appearance before being whisked away for press duties (or possibly a plumbing emergency). Either way, the atmosphere was pure fun.

The store officially opens to the public from October 22nd to November 16th. The first week is exclusively for those lucky enough to secure timed-entry tickets, but from October 27th onwards anyone can visit, though be prepared to queue. The team have done an excellent job of managing the flow of customers while keeping the energy upbeat and enjoyable.

The moment you step inside, it’s impossible not to feel like a kid again. Classic Nintendo music fills the air, bright displays line the walls, and every shelf begs to be explored. It’s a sensory overload in the best possible way.

So, what’s on offer? In short, a lot. You’ll find everything from T-shirts, bags, and plushies to homeware, stationery, and collectible trinkets. Prices are surprisingly reasonable too, which isn’t something we often say about Nintendo’s official merchandise.

Every major franchise gets its moment to shine. Mario naturally takes centre stage, but there are also sections dedicated to Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pikmin, Splatoon, and Animal Crossing. The sheer variety packed into this relatively compact space is impressive, and it’s clear a lot of care went into curating it.

Highlights for us included the plush collection (especially the adorable Animal Crossing range), a surprisingly stylish homeware section, and a Donkey Kong hoodie that’s perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to channel their inner DK.

At the back of the store, visitors can find a display case filled with Nintendo Switch 2 items – consoles, Amiibo, and special Nintendo Switch Online controllers. Sadly, none of these are for sale, but it’s probably for the best considering how many people are bound to visit. You can, however, scan in with your Nintendo Account to earn some small digital rewards during your visit. A nice touch that connects the experience to Nintendo’s wider ecosystem.

It would have been rude to visit and not grab anything, so what did we get? Luigi and Tom Nook plushes, a Nintendo Tokyo T-shirt (though sadly no London-specific ones yet), and a London -exclusive tote bag to carry it all home in.

If you’re anywhere near London, make the trip. The Nintendo Pop-Up Store is a charming, joyful experience that captures everything fans love about the brand. It’s a rare treat for UK fans, just be warned, it’s impossible to walk out without buying something.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or someone who just grew up with a Game Boy, the store captures that warm, unmistakable Nintendo magic.
