Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Part 5

Reading Time: 3 minutes
Updated Stats

As you can see, I’ve spent 10 hours on this game and only discovered 10% of the regions.  I’m sure if I’d have travelled 81k, actually doing the main quests, I’d be a lot further into the game.  However, I’m still distracted by the side quests and photo mode.

Fast Travel

As well as being able to fast travel to synchronised locations, you can also fast tracel to your ship if it is docked in a harbour.  This is a great feature and actually saved my horse’s legs on numberous occasions.

Burning the war chests is very rewarding.
Just make sure that you don’t set fire to yourself!

Ainigmata Ostraka

Ainigmata Ostraka are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s answer to the Papyrus scroll puzzles from Assassin’s Creed Origins.  Similarly, they offer you a riddle which you need to solve to find the treasure.

Triple Threat!

As I discussed in a previous entry, the enemies seem to be a lot more intelligent this time around.  An example of this happened last night!  I entered a Gymnasium to try and take out a Captain and loot the treasure.  However, what should have been a simple assassinatin, uickly turned into a triple threat match!  I’d been walking through a foest and had disturbed a Wolf.  Instead of klling it, I ran away.

Some of the tips are really helpful!

Just as I was about to eliminate the Captain, a mercenary decides to make an entrance!  Things then took a turn for the worse, because said Wolf, decided to run from the forest to join in the fight.  Suffice to say, my level 10 Assassin was sadly overwhelmed and synchronised!!

Mercenaries

I like the fact that each mercenrary has a backstory.  You can also see their strengths and weaknesses, as well as the loot you will collect by defeating them.  Talking of defeating them, when you do, they turn theur back in shame.

Not so lucky now!

That’s all for now.  Hopefully you’ll join me next time.
