Robots, Rise Up

I’ve been a lover of Robot Vacuums for a number of years now, having previously owned another Eufy Robot Vacuum. Not to mention that I’m a robotics professional in my full time career. When I got the opportunity to get hands-on with the Omni E25, I couldn’t believe it!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I lead a pretty busy life, and hate relying on my wife to keep the house (it’s not fair on her). The Omni E25 has become a game changer. Not only was it SUPER easy to set up, but it used its fantastic AI.see function to map the whole of the downstairs in just a few minutes. It new all the different surfaces and even detected things like power outlets!

The setup was quick and easy with the assembly instructions on the top as you open the box. Getting it put together and starting to clean took less than 20 minutes using the Eufy Clean App.

Cleaning Up

The Eufy Omni E25 is PACKED with features, and every single one of them is brilliant. It vacuums and mops in a single pass, making it quick and efficient. Using the camera & AI, it can detect items, obstacles and room layouts in seconds with it’s camera and AI technology. It empties, cleans and charges itself at it’s base station. The suction is almost 10x the power of my Dyson Ball upright vacuum at 20,000Pa, which is wild! The list goes on, so I’ve added a handy infographic from Eufy.

I can quite honestly say that my rug has never been cleaner. The suction on the Omni E25 is truly incredible, which automatically adjusts to the surface it’s cleaning. And much to my wife’s relief, it didn’t mop said rug, it simply paused the mop, vacuumed the rug, then caried on with the floor. Mind blowing honestly.

One ‘Appy Customer

A massive part of any tech these days is the app it’s linked to, and the Eufy one is absolutely brilliant. It’s easy to set up devices, manage them and even share them with your household.

For the Omni E25, the app is crucial. It allows you to see exactly what the device has seen and mapped in terms of the floor plan of your house, and adjust it accordingly. For example, we put some no-go zones in so that it wouldn’t try and eat the cat’s food! It also allows you to track the progress of the clean as it goes, and see how it handled things.

One of the more interesting things about Frederick (yes that’s his name), is that he did his initial mapping session, but then learned more about the house as he did his cleaning. He learned about the layout of the house, where walls and doorways were and things like furniture. You can see this in the 2 images above.

On top of the automatic and intelligent side of things, you can also set up how the Omni E25 cleans. This can be done for a variety of different sized areas to ensure you get the perfect clean.

Importantly too, while the Omni isn’t loud in any way (other than emptying into the base station once done), you can set it to not do any cleaning during certain periods. This is in case it needs to recharge between sessions and decides to carry on in the night. The last thing you want is to trip over a vacuum in the middle of the night.

If I had to pick a couple of drawbacks for the Eufy Omni E25, it would be the need to purchase replacement detergent for the vacuum once it runs out. It lasts for a long time, but due to being in a specialist dispenser bottle, you can’t just refill it with your own solution. Not a big drawback at all honestly. The only other thing would be the price point. While the device is incredible and has helped us so much around the house, I’m not convinced I’d pay £849 for it, feels a little too pricey. At the time of writing this though, there is a £150 off deal, so definitely worth picking up with that discount.

The Eufy Omni E25 has quite honestly changed my home life. It has taken out the stress of having to clean downstairs and saved my wife and I so much time. I love this thing like it’s part of the family. If I could, I’d make sure every home came with one as standard! This is a truly brilliant device and I wouldn’t ever be without one again.
